Liability
Injury and property damage caused while riding, on and off your property.
A homeowners policy may cover an ATV on your own land. It usually stops the moment you take it anywhere else.
ATVs, UTVs and side-by-sides fall into a gap that catches owners out regularly. Homeowners policies often provide limited liability cover while the machine is on your own property and exclude it everywhere else — which is precisely where these vehicles get used.
Riding on public land, at a park, on a lease or on a friend's property generally falls outside any homeowners extension. A dedicated policy follows the machine wherever it is ridden.
Passengers matter too. Side-by-sides carry people, and injury to a passenger is a liability claim that homeowners cover is unlikely to answer once the machine is off your own land.

Collision, comprehensive and theft on the machine itself.
Relevant for UTVs and side-by-sides carrying riders.
Winches, racks, plows and aftermarket additions.
We are an independent agency, so we place your atv insurance across several carriers rather than fitting you to one company's product. That means a genuine comparison, and someone to call who is not a call centre.
Often only while it is on your own property, and sometimes not at all. Riding anywhere else typically falls outside the policy, which is why a dedicated ATV policy exists.
There is no general state requirement for private land use, but public land, leases and organised riding areas frequently require proof of liability cover.
On a policy written for a UTV or side-by-side, passenger liability can be included. It is worth confirming, since carrying passengers is the norm for these machines.
Texas requires the same liability minimums as a car. What a bike needs beyond that is quite different.
